ROME - Mari Conti returns, the Italian singer-songwriter, born in Rome, releases a new multi-dimensional single. Live Now is a categorical imperative aimed at the continuous rediscovery of relative eternity, or - almost like an oxymoron - it is a praise "to the eternal present", the here and now.
The future is no longer the sum of the distance between us, our desires, our fears thanks to the events of life that often change the perspective of things in a single moment.
Live Now is about a person who suddenly discovers the absolute value of those who walk and live by their side and, consequently, the fear of losing them.
Live Now is a race against time, where the countdown has already begun.
'Live now, because' we will never be the same as before. We will never feel as before "...
Video
A sequential and psychedelic journey, between dreamlike images and magical figures, through unknown worlds, parallel to the real world ...
Living beings that move in the depths of the oceans ...
Immortal and mythological beings - halfway between women and mermaids - who suddenly discover that they are "human" and want to rise to the surface, breathe, dance, turn back time ... to survive a little longer. It seems to want to portray the time that passes and that outlines the energy of life as crazy sparks.
As the lyrics of the song quote I will cross the border, where I know that I will never find someone like you again, someone like you ...
In this crumbling world you are the only spark of light
I still want you…
Mari Conti, Italian singer-songwriter, was born in Rome. Since she was a teenager she has been passionate about music starting to sing first as a backing singer and then as a soloist, in many cover bands in the capital. He began writing his songs only a few years later, thanks to the meeting with the American guitarist Gary Lucas - with whom he wrote You Will See My Flame Again, dedicated to his favorite singer Jeff Buckley (with whom Gary Lucas wrote two of the his songs that have become rock historians, Grace and Mojo Pin) - and to the following one, in 2009, with Mozez Wright (Mozez), former front man of the pioneer trip hop band Zero 7.
With Mozez, Mari writes her first debut album entitled Gentle Beauty (released in 2012) which contains twelve songs inspired by the sound world of trip hop. Of these, Free is remixed by the English producer and DJ Raj Mang (Roxy Music, Freddy Mercury, Shirley Bassey, Gorillaz). The song, which gets a great response, becomes the soundtrack of the 2014 edition of the Electric Elephant - Festival of Tisno electronic music. Furthermore Vincenzo Incenzo (author of Italian music hits sung by Michele Zarrillo, Renato Zero and many others) writes together with her and Mozez Blue Is My Favorite Color.
After her first album Mari begins a series of collaborations with various European DJs and producers such as Claudio Fiore (Eternal) followed by Milo S (Just a Fool) and GoldLounge (Like a Feather).
Mari subsequently collaborated with the WA band (Paolo Palazzoli and Roberto Cosimi), inserting two songs on their album Blue Thinking, released in autumn 2019.
In April 2020 he released the single "Hangin on a Kiss", written together with Mozez Wright.
Written by Marina Conti and Osmond Wright, produced by Osmond Wright for the English independent label Numen Records. Distributed by Fuga. Mix and Master: Tommy Bianchi. Videomaker: Diego Monfredini.
