TRIESTE - New musical events for Suns Europe. Joana Gomila (Catalan Countries) returns to the festival of arts in minorized language - organized annually by the Informazione Friulana cooperative with the financial support of the Fvg Region and the Agjenzie Regjonâl pe Lenghe Furlane (ARLeF).
After having enchanted the public, in the 2017 edition, with her crystalline voice, the singer makes a stop in Friuli again for a double concert: on 5 September she will perform in Lavariano, at the court of Via Canonica 25, at 9 pm; the following day he will move to Artegna, to Colle di San Martino, at the same time. The artist recovers the traditional song of the Balearic Islands and reinvents it with original texts that fly high, with often unconventional melodies that always strike the ears and heart of the listener. With the complicity of two musicians of great value, the Mallorcan singer builds a musical proposal that enhances the sound of the Catalan language and creates rarefied and austere atmospheres, in which there is room both for the darkness of intimacy and for the rays of the warm sun of the Mediterranean. The Joana Gomila Folk Souvenir project is a fine example of what could be called "Majorcan tropicalism".
LATEST APPOINTMENTS
The evenings by Suns Europe will continue also the following week. On 12 September everyone in Pozzuolo del Friuli at the Casa Della Musica court, at 9 pm, for another concert, that of Paxkal Irigoyen (Basque Country) which on the 13th will perform in Romans d'Isonzo, at the same time, at the court of Casa Versa . On the 19th the festival will close in Trava, in piazza Vittorino Serramenti, at 9 pm, with an event halfway between literature and music that will see Angelo Floramo and Sergio Berardo (Occitania) as protagonists.
THE SUNS EUROPE FESTIVAL
Organized annually by the Informazione Friulana cooperative with the financial contribution of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and ARLeF, Agjenzie Regjonâl pe Lenghe Furlane, and with the support of the Municipality of Udine and the Etxepare Euskal Institutua (Basque Country) - has enjoyed since its birth under the patronage of the Council of Europe and the NPLD, Network to Promote Linguistic Diversity, the European network for the promotion of linguistic diversity. It also makes use of the collaboration of numerous public and private entities including the Municipalities of Artegna, Mortegliano, Moruzzo and Pozzuolo del Friuli, the CEC, Centro Espressioni Cinematografiche, the Philharmonic Society of Pozzuolo del Friuli, and the Amici del teatro and Cocula associations.
